Consulting service on infrastructure maintenance
Problem:A leading Italian tower operator needed to ensure the reliability of its growing infrastructure portfolio. The customer wanted to keep all maintenance activities in-house and not rely on external services. To set up maintenance activities in the most effective but also efficient way, the customer asked for EXI's help to set up both preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Solution:Based on EXI's extensive maintenance experience, an internal organizational and governance model was designed for the client and rules were established for planning daily activities. Efficient process design and training were the basis for daily maintenance operations, supported by tools EXI developed to help the client track and manage its activities.
Result:With EXI's support, the client was able to execute its maintenance activities in a way that ensured the required level of performance and reliability. The governance structure, processes and tools developed allowed the client to work with both internal staff and external subcontractors while managing activities based on its own priorities and needs. By managing maintenance activities internally, the customer was able to remain independent and minimize the associated costs.
